[Official] Former Lazio Defender Has Joined Botafogo On A Free Transfer

On Tuesday, Botafogo announced that they have finalized the acquisition of Angola's center-back Bastos on a free transfer.

After striking a deal with the club approximately a month ago, the player had to wait for his immigration visa to be approved. Fortunately, he received confirmation of its approval last week. With the formal agreement in place, the new defender finalized a contract that expired at the end of 2024. This signing occurred because the player had been a free agent since the start of July, having recently departed from Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.
