[Official] Simeone Signs 3 Years Contract With Napoli Permanently

SSC Napoli, the reigning champion of the Italian Serie A for the 2022/2023 season, has made an official announcement. The club has decided to make Giovanni Simeone a permanent player after he was initially on loan from Hellas Verona.

After being loaned in August of 2022, Simeone's exceptional performance in leading the Partenopei to 2022/2023 Scudetto earned him a contract that spans for three years until 2026, with a possibility of a one-year extension.

The redemption of the player has been officially formalized by the Neapolitan club, as stated in their press release:

"SSC Napoli announces that it has exercised the option to purchase, the sporting performances of the player Giovanni Simeone from Hellas Verona until June 30, 2026, with the option to extend the contract until June 30, 2027."

During this season's Scudetto championship win, Simeone played a crucial role in the team's triumph. He contributed significantly to the team's success by scoring four goals and providing one assist in 25 matches played in Serie A.

In all competitions, the 27-year-old forward has been able to score a total of nine goals and provide one assist in 33 appearances across Serie A, Coppa Italia, and the Champions League.
