Lazio Will Be Without Cataldi And Romagnoli When They Are Facing Sassuolo
Alessio Romagnoli is certain to miss the match between Lazio and Sassuolo in Week 33. This is after yesterday's match against Inter, the defender with number 13 received a yellow card, this was his fifth yellow card this season. As per regulations, Romagnoli received a one-match suspension after that. Maurizio Sarri will anticipate Romagnoli's absence by pairing up Patric and Nicolo Casale against Sassuolo instead.
Along with Romagnoli, there was also Cataldi, who was substituted in the 51st minute of the match against Inter yesterday because of a bad calf injury that was received from Lukaku who is not even sanctioned by Guida. The midfielder attempted to continue playing, but he was unable to do so. He left the stadium on crutches enough to trigger the alarm in the health staff.
Sarri said it would take at least 48 hours to fully comprehend the severity of the situation. The expectation is that no muscle injury will occur because in that case, Cataldi could also end the championship earlier. The hope is that it is simply a stroke and that it can be regained as quickly as possible by therapies. His employment with Sassuolo can be ruled out even if a favorable diagnosis is obtained, he also would be forced to miss next Saturday's encounter against Milan.
