Diego Gonzalez May Be Called Up By Sarri When Facing AZ Alkmaar
Lazio could have a new gem at home with Cancellieri and Luka Romero. We're talking about Diego Gonzalez, the Paraguayan prodigy who arrived in January from Celaya, Mexico. Sarri is studying him and in the last session, he called him up to train with the big names in the first team, perhaps for the next league game against AZ Alkmaar.
Born in 2003, he was also selected for the Paraguay senior national team in a friendly match against Colombia. After playing at a high level (2 goals and 2 assists) at the U20 South American Championships, now he was able to make his debut.
Diego Gonzalez is already letting Formello talk about himself. Arrived on loan in January with a buyout set for € 1M, the Paraguayan prodigy is already one of the most interesting youngsters. He's making sparks in Lazio Primavera: he's in another category, and you can see his great foreign experience with older players. He started in starting lineup in the last match against Imolese and scored his first goal.
However, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, the goal now is to win over Sarri and persuade Sarri to give him a chance in the future. He has the qualities and talent; now he must work hard.
