6 Lazio Players Can Be Called By Mancini To Strengthen The Italian National Team
Striker Ciro Immobile is one of six Lazio players hoping to call up Italy for Euro 2024 qualifiers. Unfortunately, however, the player was hampered by injury factors, and this happened to him again.
Ciro Immobile is one of six Lazio players hoping to be called up to the Italy national team by coach Roberto Mancini for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers. The Azzurri have been preparing for competitive action since last year when they were forced to watch the World Cup in Qatar at home after their play-off defeat against North Macedonia.
Italy faces England on March 23 and then Malta on March 26, allowing Roberto Mancini to carefully weigh his options a week in advance. Six Biancoceleste players have the chance to join Mancini's 27-man squad for Euro 2024 qualifiers, according to LaLazioSiamoNoi, including Ciro Immobile.
The 32-year-old is recovering from a muscle injury and hopes to be named to the squad, although he is unlikely to play in the Azzurri's two games.
Ivan Provedel, Nicolo Casale, Alessio Romagnoli, Mattia Zaccagni, and Matteo Cancellieri are the other five Aquile players hoping to join the Azzurri squad. Only Matteo Cancellieri has yet to earn the full confidence of Lazio's coach Maurizio Sarri.
