Romagnoli Injury Update: Possible Return In Derby Against Roma In March
Lazio released some information regarding the latest news regarding the injury of their central defender, Alessio Romagnoli, who had to be substituted during the match against Atalanta two weeks prior.
Lazio's Alessio Romagnoli has been reported to have been diagnosed with a minor injury to his left femoral bicep after being substituted during his team's 2-0 defeat to Atalanta. The former Milan, Sampdoria, and Roma defender suddenly stopped as he ran after Rasmus Hojlund and attempted to grab his hamstring on the left, he then asked to be replaced as soon as possible.
It appears that he was able to stop before the injury worsened and as reported by Football-Italia, Biancoceleste released a statement confirming that a series of tests at the Paidea clinic that took place today revealed that the center-back had a mild problem with the femoral bicep in his left thigh.
Additional tests will be conducted soon to determine how long Romagnoli will be out. With an injury like this, it will take at least two or three weeks.
This implies that he will be unable to participate in several crucial matches for The Aquile the win against CFR Cluj in the European Conference League last Thursday, resulting in a 1-0 victory for the team of Maurizio Sarri. Additionally, the second leg will take place on February 23rd, 2023.
Additionally, the Italian capital team will have a significant match against Napoli on March 3rd, however, Romagnoli hopes to be involved in the Derby della Capitale against Roma on March 19th.
