Luis Alberto: "I Owe Almost Everything To Lazio. Until The Last Day, I'll Give Everything For Lazio And Attempt To Take The Team To The Champions League."
Luis Alberto admitted that he was not in good condition at Lazio when Cadiz attempted to approach them, he also explained why he believed Serie A was not progressing as quickly as it should have been.
Luis Alberto has started to be dropped by Lazio this season, he is often a substitute in the first half of the season. After a turbulent few months, he began to repair his relationship with Maurizio Sarri and has since become a regular at the Olimpico.
He noted that Serie A was beginning to lag behind other European leagues.
"It's a league that has lacked development, in Italy, we typically play with three defenders," he explained on Twitch.tv
"Napoli, Lazio, Sassuolo, and Fiorentina are teams that play European-style football, Juventus's style is slightly different."
The midfielder commented on Cadiz's recent approach and why he thinks to terminate his contract with the club.
"I'm having a bad time when I hear that they want me in January, I appreciate their interest, but January isn't easy, I don't want to have a bad ending with Lazio, when I leave, I'll speak with the president, the sporting director, and the coaches I have a good relationship with," he explains.
"I owe almost everything to Lazio. The club and the fans love me. It would be stupid to break badly with them. Until the last day, I'll give everything for Lazio and attempt to take the team to the Champions League."
Alberto's contract with The Aquile will expire in June 2025, he scored five goals and contributed four assists in 24 appearances this season.
