Casale: "Sarri Is A Maniac, He Made Us Work Hard In The Defensive Stage, As A Result, We Are Capable Of Performing Well Both Individually And As A Team."
Nicolo Casale discusses his first season with Lazio and shares some of the most memorable moments thus far. The Italian defender was signed from Hellas Verona last summer.
The 25-year-old Italian defender Nicolo Casale has signed a five-year contract with Lazio from Hellas Verona that is believed to cost him around €7 million, adding the defensive strength of the team and giving a new dimension to Maurizio Sarri's new project.
He discussed a bit about his early career with his new club Biancoceleste.
"Here, I experienced a period of adjustment, a different approach to playing, compared to Verona. I've dedicated myself to the task and I am ready for it," the player said via the Lazio Style Channel.
"You must always demonstrate that you are capable of playing well, the coach trusted me, and he made us work hard in the defensive stage, Sarri is a maniac, as a result, we are capable of performing well both individually and as a team."
The 25-year-old player also gave his comments about some of his teammates in the Italian capital.
"I can work well with Romagnoli, but in a few games I played with Patric where the results were also good, there was harmony and that's important, I felt at home in this team quickly.
"I've known players like Zaccagni and Cancellieri, and I've also been well-received by the more experienced players; I bond with everyone, and we get along well."
The defender went on to explain why he joined the Biancoceleste last summer.
"I follow Lazio a lot because I've seen their fans and Verona fans get along well over the years, I've always been interested in this club and this was my first choice," he explained.
"The impact with the Stadio Olimpico was also beautiful; I know the Biancoceleste fans are warm; hearing my name shouted at my first goal gave me a shiver."
