Sarri: "I Believe That Some Teams Have More Resources Available Than Us, If The Boys Demonstrate Today's Performance, We Can Have Our Say. If We Don't, It Would Be Going Beyond The Logical."

Lazio earned only one point in the last three matches, causing the team to experience pressure. However, the team recovered by defeating Sassuolo 2-0 during Sunday's Serie A follow-up match which took place on Sunday (15/01) at the Mapei Stadium.

Before the match, sporting director Igli Tare stated that a possible qualification for the Europa League would not be considered miraculous, in contrast to what Maurizio Sarri had already said, who responded to a question about the topic:

"Tare will describe his sensations to you. I have a mind of my own, and I'm speaking of my own. I only noted one thing. I believe that some teams have more resources available than us, if the boys demonstrate today's performance, we can have our say. If we don't, it would be going beyond the logical."

He also commented on Immobile's injury during this match:

"We've become accustomed to it, during the summer, Immobile rarely had 100% physical condition. We're improvising. Felipe Anderson as the solution is sometimes helpful, but sometimes also not. If Felipe is to be the solution for this season, then we can consider adding another winger to the roster."
