[Official] Cadiz Overtakes Real Valladolid To Get Escalante From Lazio

Cádiz CF and SS Lazio have agreed on the transfer of midfielder Gonzalo Escalante, who will be on loan to the Spanish club until June 30, 2023. The soccer player has already undergone a medical, he will join training on Wednesday under Sergio González, the player was close to signing for Real Valladolid, however, Cádiz offered a better offer and was therefore accepted by the club.

The agreement contemplates a mandatory purchase option in case of not being relegated from LaLiga and if a series of requirements are met.

For Gonzalo Escalante, 29, this is the fourth time he's played in the Spanish league: he previously played for Eibar twice and once for Deportivo Alavés, all of these experiences were successful, and he hopes to replicate this success with the Cádiz club.
