Cancellieri: "In 2023, I Hope To Score Goals And Celebrate In The Curva Nord With My Teammates And The Fans."
After a difficult beginning to the season, Matteo Cancellieri is seeking redemption. The young striker is prepared to take his place.
The preparation at Lazio continues given the new year. The biancoceleste will return to the pitch on January 4th against Lecce at Via del Mare and want to be prepared. Sarri's men will return to the Formello sports center on the 27th of December, which is essentially a week before the league resumed. Among them, there will be Matteo Cancellieri who is eager to redeem himself after a disappointing first half of the season.
He arrived from Hellas Verona only last year, Cancellieri is considered an investment for the future. No one, especially Sarri, anticipated a significant impact on the championship. Additionally, the Tuscan coach wanted a different role than what was expected. The former Hellas Verona was previously played as a winger who possessed great speed, especially in open spaces, under Sarri, however, he is intended to become a primary striker.
This has certainly slowed down the development process, but with the new year, Cancellieri intends to reverse the trend:
"In 2023, I hope to score goals and celebrate in the Curva Nord with my teammates and the fans."
This is the message launched through the club's official channels on the occasion of the Christmas dinner.
