Mourinho: "I'm Not Interested In The Derby At All, If One Of My Players Is Talking About Derby Now, They're Wrong."
The Portuguese coach spoke about Derby and Sarri at a press conference after the win over Verona.
Thanks to the victory, Roma is ahead of Lazio and Inter in the standings. But the position is in danger of being lost again as their next opponent is Lazio, which is one point below them. Jose Mourinho, however, was reluctant to think about the game, called Derby della Capitale. He said he just wanted to focus on the closer game, against Ludogorets in the Europa League
"I'm not interested in the derby at all, now I'm interested in the next game. If a coach only thinks about one game and not the next, it doesn't end well," Jose Mourinho said in the post-match conference.
"I say that because I made that mistake and it's hard to accept. If one of my players is talking about Derby now, they're wrong." Said the former Manchester United coach.
"If I'm going to respond to the Sarri controversy? I have nothing to say."
