[Europa Conference League] Lazio Will Play Against CFR Cluj For The Europa Conference League Playoff

Lazio faces Romanian club CFR Cluj in the just-concluded Europa Conference League round of 16 play-offs draw for the 2022/2023 season. The first game of the round is scheduled for February 16, 2023, while the second game will be played next week, on February 23, 2023.

Lazio, led by Maurizio Sarri, will compete with CFR Cluj from Romania for a ticket to the Round of 16 qualifiers. Despite having a better player composition on paper, the Biancoceleste cannot underestimate Cluj, who are currently in the top four of the Romanian league.

This is not the first time Lazio has met with CFR Cluj. The pair met in the group stage of 2019/2020 Europa League last season. At that time, Lazio and Cluj had both played each other. Lazio won 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico, while Cluj won 2-1 at Stadio Dr. Constantine Rădulescu.
