Sarri: "I Have No Explanation For This Card, I Won't Say More, And If I Say It, It Would Take Me Six Months To Be Disqualified."

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was initially left on the bench to avoid the risk of a suspension when Lazio face Salernitana in tonight's league game, but he was controversially booked for Lazio and will be suspended for the Derby della Capitale against Roma.

The Serbian midfielder came off the bench in the second half against Salernitana at the Stadio Olimpico. But he was shown the yellow card earlier tonight which resulted in his suspension, which seemed like a very tough decision.

Thus, Maurizio Sarri will be without one of his best players against Jose Mourinho's side due to the accumulation of yellow cards.

The incident angered Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri, who did not mince words against the refereeing staff during his press conference.

"I have no explanation for this card," Sarri told a news conference after the 3-1 defeat at the Stadio Olimpico.

"Milinkovic-Savic has the ball, he can't foul, let alone get a card. I've never seen anything like this in fifty years of football."

"Have I spoken to the referee? No, the fourth referee told me he was watching Var," said the Biancoceleste coach,

"I won't say more, and if I say it, it would take me six months to be disqualified."
