Pedro Agreed To Extend His Time With Lazio For One More Year
Pedro Rodriguez has agreed to a new contract with Lazio, according to reports. Over the past two seasons, he has become one of Maurizio Sarri's key players at the club in the Italian capital.
Pedro is a key player in Maurizio Sarri's side at Lazio and has agreed on a contract extension with the club. The 2010 World Cup winner joined the Biancoceleste on a free transfer last year after ending his contract with Roma and rejoined Sarri again as he was at Chelsea.
Pedro enjoyed a decent debut season at The Aquile, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in 32 Serie A appearances.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Spanish winger has less than a year left on his contract with the Biancoceleste. However, his contract includes an option to extend it for another year, which the club wants to activate.
The 35-year-old has agreed with the idea because he is happy to be playing in the Italian capital. The 2010 World Cup champion's current contract will end in June 2023 and will be extended to 2024.
He continues to set an example for young players like Luka Romero. In seven league games this season, he scored three goals and assisted one. He last contributed a goal when his team was held to a 2-2 draw by Sturm Graz.
