[Official] Goran Pandev Has Announced His Retirement As A Football Player
The news is well known, but today it's official. Parma player, Goran Pandev has announced that he will hang up his boots or retire as a footballer. During his career, the 39-year-old former player has played for several top clubs including Lazio, Inter Milan, Genoa, and Napoli.
The Macedonian striker won the "treble" with Inter Milan in 2010 after his move from Lazio and he wore the Lazio shirt between 2004 and 2009, scoring 64 goals. The player wants to announce his departure through a message on his social profile.
"I look back and it doesn't seem real. It was an amazing journey," Goran Pandev wrote on Instagram.
Goran Pandev has not forgotten to thank his family, especially his wife and children who have been supporting him.
"I thank my family, my wife Nadica, and my children Filipo, Ana, and Sofia for their support. I thank my parents for letting me follow this dream. I thank people for their passion for me. You are amazing," he wrote.
Goran Pandev thanked all the coaches who worked with him as well as the directors of the clubs he played for their contributions.
"The conclusion of this beautiful chapter filled me with extraordinary feelings. I'm glad to have shared it with you. With all my heart, Goran."
