Milinkovic-Savic Becomes One Of The Top 10 Players With The Most Appearances For Lazio

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has made 303 appearances for Lazio, officially becoming one of the top 10 players with the most appearances for the Italian capital club. The Serbian midfielder has been with the team since the summer of 2015.

Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, 27, has just celebrated his 303rd appearance for Lazio, joining from Genk in the summer of 2015 for 12 million euros. Since then, he has developed into one of the best midfielders in the world and regularly attracts interest from Europe's top clubs.

According to Lazio's official website, the midfielder made his 303rd appearance for the club in last Sunday's 4-0 win over Cremonese, a figure that was enough to put him in the top 10 of Lazio appearances, a record for the Italian capital's club and the appearance of the same numbers as Stefano Mauri.

The Serbian star has a chance to surpass No. 9 Christian Ledesma, who has played 318 games. While Stefan Radu has appeared in 424 matches across all competitions in the first place for Lazio.

He is a regular midfielder every season; he has played in all of the Aquile games to date. As of the 2021/22 season, he has played 47 games, the 2020/21 season has seen him play 41 games, and the 2019/20 season has seen him play 43 games. Additionally, he has played all 43 games so far in the 2018/19 season. This proves that he is always healthy and fit, which is why he keeps playing every single season.

Milinkovic was adamant about staying loyal to Lazio when transfer rumors linked him to transfers outside of Italy. He said that he loved playing for the Biancoceleste and considered himself very lucky to play for them.
