[Europa League] Midtjylland - Lazio = 5 - 1

FC Midtjylland celebrates as they host Italian side Lazio in the 2022/2023 Europa League. The Danish club won 5-1.

FC Midtjylland did not relax in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Danilo Cataldi fouled Gustav Isaksen and the home team was awarded a penalty kick. Evander Ferreira successfully fulfilled his role as the penalty executor. His goal gave Midtjylland a 3-0 lead.

Five minutes later, Lazio closed the gap. Midtjylland goalkeeper Jonas Lossl was unable to stop Sergej Milinkovic-Savic's shot from outside the box.

At 67 minutes, Isaksen breaks Lazio's goal with a left foot kick from the penalty rebound.

Six minutes later. Erik Sviatchenko welcomes Evander's crossing by using his left foot to glide a ball into the Lazio goal. Consequently, the match ended with Lazio losing by a score of 5-1.

FC Midtjylland achieved second place in 2022/2023 Europa League Group F standings after winning this match. Lazio came in third with the same points, and both teams had 3 points in the standings.
