Casale Will Miss Next Match Against Spezia Due To Injury
Lazio has announced that one of their defenders, Nicolo Casale, has suffered a moderate left thigh injury. The new signing last summer is sure to miss his side's game against Spezia after the international break. Manuel Lazzari was previously also confirmed to suffer from a muscle injury.
Italian center-back Nicolo Casale, 24, joined Lazio from Verona last summer for 7 million euros and things have been a bit slow in the Italian capital so far. He struggled to replace Alessio Romagnoli and Patric with limited playing minutes.
According to LazioNews24, a series of tests performed at the Paidea clinic in Rome confirmed that Casale suffered a minor injury to the adductor muscle of his left thigh. The 24-year-old has begun his recovery process and is being monitored daily. More tests are planned for next week to assess the severity of the problem.
Due to the hectic schedule, many football players throughout Europe have experienced muscle injuries. The World Cup is likely to add to this problem due to the high rate of football play in Qatar.
Casale has only appeared in two games for the Biancoceleste so far in the 2022/23 season. While last season he was a regular at Hellas Verona, making 37 appearances and contributing one goal in all competitions.
