[Official] 2 Lazio Targets (Mertens And Torreira) Choose Galatasaray For Their Next Team

Big shot for Galatasaray. The Turkish club recently announced Dries Mertens and Lucas Torreira as new signings for next season. Lucas Torreira and Dries Mertens flew on the same plane to Istanbul, where the crowd will greet the two newcomers.

The former Napoli has signed until 2023, with an option to renew his contract for another season for around 4 million euros plus a bonus.

Juventus, Lazio, and Inter Milan are all linked with the Partenopei's all-time top scorer, and even Juventus are willing to pay him €5m a season.

However, Mertens turned down all these offers to express his love for Napoli, who would only be willing to play for Napoli in Italy.

Meanwhile, Lucas Torreira is said to be a done deal. The player will come from Arsenal for a fee of around 5 to 6 million euros. The Uruguayan will sign a contract for the next four seasons.

With these two newcomers, Galatasaray has signed 9 players so far this season, 8 of which are on transfer or loan with an option to buy. Torreira and Mertens will add strength to the team and raise the level of the Turkish league.
