Lotito: "Our Transfer Window Has Been Completed And Closed, All The New Players Sarri Wanted Were Signed."
Lazio president Claudio Lotito has spoken about his club's performance in the transfer market this summer, and two of the main midfielders, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Luis Alberto, who were previously widely rumored to be leaving the Olimpico.
Claudio Lotito discusses Lazio's performance in the transfer market this summer, alongside two star midfielders, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Luis Alberto. Both players have been linked with a move from Rome this summer.
The news is that the Serbian player will join Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester United. While the Spaniard has often been linked with a move to Sevilla, a move for Luis Alberto is unlikely as they have already signed Isco.
Lotito first spoke to Lazio about the current state of Lazio's two star midfielders Milinkovic-Savic and Luis Alberto in an interview with Il Messaggero.
"50 million? I'm not going to sell Milinkovic-Savic at that price, he's worth more," he said.
"Our transfer window has been completed and closed, with Luis Alberto staying."
The president insists he has kept his promise to coach Maurizio Sarri.
"I kept all my promises very quickly and all the new players Sarri wanted were signed."
Finally, Lotito commented on the number of tickets purchased by fans over the past few weeks.
"I want to thank the fans, the season ticket was a great response to our performance, even though we could have done better," he explained.
The Aquile revitalized the team this summer, signing 8 new players to refresh the team and start a new cycle.
