Cragnotti: "We Can See Lotito Is Now Keen On Showing Up And Start Fighting For Something More Ambitious. He's Finally Starting To Think Big, Not Just Budget."
The most successful president in Lazio's history. Sergio Cragnotti represents the all-time high for the Biancoceleste, and his team is often seen as winning far less than they deserve. There were champions like Beppe Signori, Veron, Simeone, Vieri, and Nesta on the team.
The former president himself gave a lengthy interview to Il Messaggero, in which he also spoke about his patron Claudio Lotito:
"I congratulate him, he's finally starting to think big, not just budget. This shows the recent market. I see a different direction for these times than before. We can see Lotito is now keen on showing up and start fighting for something more ambitious."
"It's too early to say he can target the Champions League. A lot has changed, but the intention is there."
And on Simone Inzaghi: "Who knows, one day maybe he will return to Rome and manage to win the Scudetto."
"The fans of the biancoceleste still show great affection for me. I hope one day Lazio supporters will be able to live through the glories of their past. Maybe even Scudetto titles will be won in Rome in the future. They deserve it. Even at 82, I still hear the roar of May 12."
Finally on Sarri:
"The signing of him was a good move to bring another mentality. This is his second year with Lazio, so he must prove his value to the team. His image and role in the team are also at risk if he doesn’t perform well."
