Belotti Refuses Lazio To Become Roma's New Signing
Andrea Belotti is very confident that Roma will soon be his new club for the summer of 2022. So confident he would wear a Roma shirt, Belotti even turned down an approach from Lazio.
AS Roma officially releases Felix Afena-Gyan to promotion club Cremonese. This effort is a must-task for Roma to add the fund to pay for Belotti's salary.
The former Torino captain has been eagerly awaiting this. He even turned down bigger foreign offers.
According to Corriere della Sera, Lazio owner Claudio Lotito and head coach Maurizio Sarri have recently made contact with Belotti to sign him as an alternative to Ciro Immobile.
However, the former Torino captain immediately rejected the option, as he has done with all other offers, including those from abroad: namely, from England, France, and Turkey.
Belotti believed he could join Roma in the current transfer window. Although there was much speculation and uncertainty surrounding the deal recently, Belotti is now closer to wearing a Roma jersey than he ever was before.
Belotti is expected to arrive in Rome this weekend to sign a three-year contract with AS Roma for 2.8 million euros net per year plus bonuses.
