[Official] Casale Joins Lazio For 5 Years

Lazio has finally reached an agreement with Verona to take over the defender Nicolo Casale, one of their main targets this summer. The player underwent a medical on Friday (08/07) local time.

Lazio is rumored to have completed a move for the Verona defender, one of their main targets this summer, Nicolo Casale. Lazio has wanted the 24-year-old Italian center-back for months, a talented and progressive defender who is comfortable with the ball on his feet.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, after five hours of talks between Lazio and Verona, an agreement was finally reached on a transfer fee of 7 million euros and a bonus of 3 million euros. Their rival club Monza, also interested in his serve, has given up and started to focus on other goals.

Casale underwent a medical on Friday before signing a five-year contract with The Aquile, who will soon travel to Auronzo Di Cadore for coach Maurizio Sarri's training camp. It will be important for the 24-year-old to learn a lot ahead of the next season, which starts on August 14.

The Italian defender joined Verona from the Gialloblu youth team for a long time in 2017 before finally being able to play with the first team last season. He was loaned to various clubs in Italy such as Perugia, Prato, Sudtirol, Venezia, and Empoli.  After returning to his home team for the 2021/22 season, he became a regular, making 37 appearances and scoring one goal in all competitions.
