Tare Spotted In London To Meet Chelsea Representative
Lazio sporting director, Igli Tare reportedly held a meeting with Chelsea representatives on Friday to discuss the Premier League club's interest in their star midfielder Milinkovic-Savic this summer.
Lazio sporting director, Igli Tare traveled to London to discuss a deal with Chelsea. The Aquile are monitoring several Blues players from Kepa Arrizabalaga to Emerson Palmieri and Ruben Loftus-Cheek so details need to be discussed face-to-face.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Chelsea has requested information on Milinkovic-Savic and is considering signing the Lazio star, but has yet to make a concrete offer, but progress may be made in the coming weeks.
At present, Lazio has resisted the 27-year-old midfielder from Serbia with a transfer price of 60 million euros. Only 2 clubs were willing to meet the demands, Arsenal and Newcastle United, but the player turned down offers from both clubs as he would only be willing to move from Rome to play in the Champions League.
Milinkovic-Savic's contract expires in 2024 and he recently turned down offers of a one-year contract extension and forced the Aquile to rethink his future. Staying on this summer will make coach Maurizio Sarri happy but will also increase the risk of losing the Serbian on a free transfer within two years, which the Italian capital club has so much avoided.
