Fiorentina Enters The Negotiation With Romagnoli
Fiorentina is reportedly keen on the services of Italian center-back Alessio Romagnoli, who is said to be one step away from a deal with Lazio. Maurizio Sarri's team has been working on the defender's transfer for months.
Lazio has reportedly been in talks with 27-year-old Italian center-back Romagnoli for months to secure his services once his contract with Milan expires at the end of the month. The two sides are said to be just one step away from reaching an agreement, with only a €500,000 gap between the offer and the player's salary demand.
The latest news suggests that Fiorentina is considering a free transfer for Romagnoli later this month. Lazio has so far failed to reach a deal and the Viola has a chance to complicate matters further.
La Viola's sporting director Daniele Prade is a big fan of the Milan captain and wants to add him to Vicenzo Italiano's squad for next season, who have improved on their return to Europe.
Romagnoli himself successfully helped the Rossoneri win the Serie A title in 2021/22, while the Aquile finished the season in fifth place. To be sure, they will need more defensive players after the departure of Luiz Felipe, with Francesco Acerbi also likely to leave.
