[Official] Reina Will Continue One More Year With Lazio

It's been up in the air, but now it's official. Pepe Reina has announced that next season will be his last as a footballer. The goalkeeper, who flew to Córdoba, Spain, for his wife's volleyball school party, spoke into the microphone of Diario de Mallorca, outlining the present and the future.

"It's going well and we have achieved the European goals we set at the beginning of the season. Serie A is very competitive and we've played against a lot of teams. It's nice that we're in the Europa League a day early."

"I think I'll play another year on my contract. I think it will be the last time. Twenty-four years old as a pro and I'm retiring. Of course, in football, you never know, but that's the idea. I want to try to be a coach and the course will start in September next year. The times are right."
