Luka Romero: "I Have Grown As A Player And As A Person And Have Learned A Lot, Such As Adapting To The Dynamics Required By A Professional Club Like Lazio"
Luka Romero was positive when he spoke about his development since joining Lazio, his relationship with Maurizio Sarri, and the support he received from his team-mates.
Argentine winger Luka Romero, 17, joined Lazio from RCD Mallorca last summer for €200,000. He is one of the most exciting young talents in Europe, he impressed several members of the Argentina national team during the last international break.
Romero discussed his development with the Italian capital for the first time this season.
"I have grown as a player and as a person and have learned a lot, such as adapting to the dynamics required by a professional club like Lazio, a team that strives to achieve extraordinary goals every season," he said via LazioNews24.
"In addition to training to win every game, I have the opportunity to work at the highest level with a very professional attitude. Calling up from the national team is another dream."
The young Biancoceleste star then opened up about his relationship with coach Maurizio Sarri.
"I would say our relationship is like a footballer-coach relationship. I respect and admire him because he has a lot of experience. I'm glad he gave me a lot of advice and helped me to improve."
The 17-year-old then revealed which players he felt impressed him the most and the support he received from his teammates.
"It's not just a player, I've been impressed with this team, we're all united and I appreciate how they helped me fit in from day one and the support they've given me all the time," He said.
"I can't just name one because they all gave me the advice. As the youngest person in the team, I always try to listen to them and learn as much as possible."
The 17-year-old Argentine, whose contract with the Biancoceleste expires in 2023, has made eight appearances for Lazio this season.
