Lotito: "Milinkovic Is Not For Sale, I Respect Him A Lot. I've Never Put Him Up For Sale. If The World's Top Teams Ask Me, I'll Ask The Players What They Want To Do."
Lazio president, Claudio Lotito spoke live on DAZN's Supertele broadcast. After joking about turning 65 today, he couldn't help but talk about his time at Lazio and Sarri's contract extension. These are his words:
"What do I want Lazio to give me? I want the team to continue this trend and reach their potential before the league ends. For us, that means maintaining the UEFA positioning we have always had with fifth, sixth, and even fourth place. We hope to go all the way with this focus and determination."
"Sarri's contract extension? We've got a plan and a broad agreement beyond the formal aspects. Sarri is a quality coach, he makes his living out of football and is important for a team that has goals like ours."
He also spoke to Rai Sport and spoke about Milinkovic-Savic's issues in recent months linked to different teams:
"Did I put him up for sale? Milinkovic is not for sale, I respect him a lot. I've never put him up for sale. I respect Milinkovic very much, he can make a difference and I have a good relationship with him. If the world's top teams ask me, I'll ask the players what they want to do. In my society, first is human value, then economic value."
"Championship? I'm happy that the quality level of the team has increased. The Scudetto is now for two teams, for Europe qualification, several teams are competing for it, and relegation they have increased too. It's good, it's a technically balanced championship quality. Now it's time to understand the advantage of the team."
