Signori: "Unfortunately, Strikers Are Only Counted When They Score. Immobile, Like Many Other Strikers In The Past, Has Had Some Problems With The National Team, But His Value Is Undeniable."
In an interview with Lazio Style radio, Beppe Signori also spoke about the national team's defeat and commented on Immobile's role in the Italian national team. But more than that, he's focused on Sarri's Lazio and his expectations for the next game. Here are his words:
"Immobile? Everyone has to be happy with what he has done and what he can contribute to Lazio's shirt. He deserves everything he has and I think he is a king now because he is both a great striker as well as a great player."
"It's a different situation with the national team and unfortunately I was playing a different role than in the club."
"Unfortunately, strikers are only counted when they score. Immobile, like many other strikers in the past, has had some problems with the national team, but his value is undeniable."
"The problems with the national team started a long time ago, not just from world cup elimination. For years, the abandoned youth sectors have been signaling themselves, if young Italian players don't find a place in their respective clubs, the problem is widespread and will not be affected by individuals."
"Sarri's Lazio will take time and a year of ups and downs is to be expected. When you have come for many seasons with the same coach and want to change the circumstances, the difficulties are almost obvious. But the Biancoceleste has everything to reach a place in the next Europa League."
"Now there is Sassuolo on Saturday, another team that loves to play. A good match will come out, the neroverdi are a loose cannon: it will be a tough game, but if Lazio wants to aim Europe, they have to win."
