Shakhtar Donetsk Will Have A Charity Match With Lazio To Help Adult And Children In Ukraine
UEFA has given the green light for Shakhtar Donetsk to leave Ukraine during the war for some friendly charity in Europe.
FC Shakhtar Director of Football, Darijo Srna told Ukraine 24 TV Channel microphones that the match will begin on April 13 against Besiktas and then against Fenerbahce on April 19. Then there are Sevilla, Hajduk Split, PSG, and Lazio. All funds for these games are sent to Ukraine to help adults and children.
"Today's situation is that we have UEFA's approval for a large number of friendly matches in Europe, and on that basis, our Ukrainian footballers are given permission to travel abroad. They can leave in three days and we will be with them right away. The coaching staff and all the Ukrainian players went to Istanbul."
"As our President, Rinat Akhmetov said: 'The time has come for us to rebuild Ukraine and invest all our skills and resources so that Ukraine will recover and become a strong and prosperous nation.' I agree, I'm sure it will," concluded Shakhtar's sporting director.
