[Serie A] Genoa - Lazio = 1 - 4
Lazio came out victorious when they visited Genoa in Serie A. Ciro Immobile scored a hat-trick as Biancoceleste won 4-1.
Lazio took a two-goal advantage in the first half of their match at the Luigi Ferrari Stadium on Sunday (10 April 2022). Lazio opened the scoring in the 31st minute through Adam Marusic. After Lucas Leiva passed the ball, Marusic calmly scored the ball into Genoa's goal.
Before half-time, Lazio doubled their lead. Ciro Immobile gave Lazio the lead in extra time in the first half. Immobile again forced Salvatore Sirigu to take the ball out of the net after getting Manuel Lazzari's cross.
Winning two goals did not allow Lazio to relax their attack in the second half. They added a goal in the 63rd minute through Immobile's second.
In the 68th minute, Genoa narrowed the score. Lazio's defender, Patric, hit the ball into his net. However, Immobile completed the game's hat-trick in the 76th minute after stealing a loose ball from Pedro Rodriguez.
Genoa had been trying to create chances seven minutes before the game was ended. However, Alexander Blessin's side's attack went without a goal until the end of the game.
With these three points, Lazio is sixth in the Serie A standings with 55 points. Meanwhile, Genoa is in 19th place with 22 points.
