Pedro Is Expected To Recover Soon Ahead Of Vs Spezia
Lazio is hoping their veteran winger Pedro can make a full recovery and give them strength for their next game against Spezia this weekend. After being beaten by Milan last weekend, the Italian capital club is determined to get back on the winning track.
Spain's 34-year-old winger Pedro has missed Lazio's last two games against Torino and Milan with a calf injury. He only missed one game before the injury, a 0-0 draw with Atalanta in January.
As Corriere dello Sport reports, Maurizio Sarri wants the winger to make a speedy recovery ahead of Lazio Spezia's next game and believes the arrival of the 2010 world champion will give him a boost for the team to secure a place in the European competition next season.
The former Roma and Chelsea winger has been a key player for the 63-year-old Italy boss this season, contributing eight goals and four assists in 30 Serie A appearances. Pedro also played a key role in the Aquile's locker room, as he was a seasoned champion who knew what he was doing. Sarri used the system as he had worked together in west London.
The 34-year-old has also acted as a mentor to two young players who also served as wingers for Raul Moro and Luka Romero. Meanwhile, his side is currently sixth with 56 points from 34 Serie A games in 2021/22.
