Mallorca Will Buy Muriqi From Lazio If Not Relegated This Season

RCD Mallorca is reportedly keen to sign Vedat Muriqi permanently from Lazio and has already planned a move for the Kosovo striker in the summer.

Kosovo striker Vedat Muriqi, 28, is under contract with Lazio until 2025 and is currently on a six-month loan with Spanish club RCD Mallorca, with a €12m purchase option included in a January deal. All is well for the player who has contributed four goals for the club.

According to Okdiario reports, Mallorca is very pleased with Muriqi's performance on loan from the Biancoceleste but the biggest hurdle is that the price is considered too high.

The price of 12 million euros is still too high for the Spanish club, but other solutions, such as four installments, are being considered. Before taking any further steps, Mallorca must first secure their place in La Liga.

Mallorca is currently 16th in the table, just two points clear of relegation-threatened Granada. With just five games remaining this season, the situation at this Spanish Club is getting tense.

Meanwhile, the Kosovo striker may also not be able to secure a place in Maurizio Sarri's side following a disappointing performance at the Stadio Olimpico.
