Ciro Immobile Will Play His Last Match For Italy When Facing Argentina
There are rumors that Ciro Immobile will play his last game for Italy soon, which could well happen when Roberto Mancini's side takes on Argentina in the Super Cup. Although the Lazio striker has previously denied he will quit international football soon.
According to Calciomercato.com, Immobile will still be out of the national team soon, and his last appearance for the Azzurri may be in the Super Cup against Argentina, provided Mancini can convince him to wear one last time National team jersey.
Many have accused the striker of failing to emulate his performances for the club in his country. Struggling to show his best under Roberto Mancini's system, he often fails to make a big difference in the game.
The 32-year-old striker remains a star for the Biancoceleste and his hat-trick in last weekend's 4-1 win over Genoa underlined his importance to the Aquile. Coach Maurizio Sarri also hinted that retiring from international duty might be the best option for him. And he will still need his services as his side's remaining Serie A games of the season start against Torino this weekend.
