Arsenal Is Trying To Sign Sarri To Be Their Head Coach Next Season
Arsenal is reportedly interested in Maurizio Sarri's services and wants to sign him next summer knowing there is a special clause in his contract with Lazio. Despite a meeting with the club management, the Italian coach's future is said to remain unclear.
Italian coach Maurizio Sarri, 63, met Lazio president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Igli Tare last Wednesday, where they discussed next summer's transfer market and plans for the Lazio's project
The former Napoli boss was concerned after his side's performance on the market in January was very disappointing although the atmosphere after the meeting was positive.
Arsenal is said to be interested in Sarri and has considered a possible deal, according to Il Messaggero. A clause in the manager's contract with Biancoceleste allows him to leave if offers are received abroad, making it easier for the Gunners to approach him.
However, the coach will still work quietly until the end of the season and wait for whether the promises made by Lotito and Tare can be fulfilled or not. While waiting he will help the Italian capital team to finish in the European competition zone in the 2021/22 season, currently, they are sixth in the Serie A standings and will face Genoa this weekend.
