Tare Once Again Makes An Inquiry For Papu Gomez
Lazio has reportedly asked for information on Sevilla striker, Papu Gomez ahead of the possibility of signing him in the summer market. Although still hindered by the blessing of the club president, Claudio Lotito remembers the age of the player who has stepped on 34 years.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Lazio's director of football, Igli Tare, has asked Giuseppe Riso's agent for information on the 34-year-old Argentine striker, Papu Gomez, who is currently playing in La Liga with Sevilla.
Previously Biancoceleste had discussions with Riso regarding the loan transfer of Tottenham goalkeeper, Pierluigi Gollini and in those talks, Tare also discussed Gomez as well as the capital team who want to bring in a new striker next summer.
Meanwhile, the Argentine striker is reportedly happy to be back playing in Italy after his current club is willing to sell him at a negotiable price. Maurizio Sarri considers him the perfect winger for his attack but president Claudio Lotito is not convinced of that due to the player's age.
The 34-year-old winger has made 32 appearances in all competitions so far in the 2021/22 season for a total of 2072 minutes. In that period he has scored five goals and contributed three assists and has only missed one game this season.
