Lazio Will Activate The Buyout Clause To Make Zaccagni's Move Permanent

Lazio is reportedly set to sign Mattia Zaccagni permanently from Hellas Verona in the summer, but the move may not go well as Juventus are also eyeing his services. The Italian midfielder has put on an impressive run in the 2021/22 season

On the last day of the transfer window last summer, 26-year-old Italian midfielder Mattia Zaccagni joined Lazio from Hellas Verona on a loan contract with a conditional buyout clause. Despite a slow start to the season, Lazio has been impressed with the player's form and is now seeking a permanent move.

According to the Italian newspaper, Corriere dello Sport revealed that the Biancoceleste are fully prepared for Zaccagni's permanent transfer, willing to pay Hellas Verona 7 million euros, but can not ignore the interest of Juventus.

The Bianconeri have been eyeing the player for some time and have recently made an offer to his agent that could make trouble for Aquile in the future.

So far Zaccagni has made 30 appearances in all competitions for Maurizio Sarri's side and in that period he has scored seven goals and provided seven assists.  He was the most decisive player for his team during the last month and early March but unfortunately, he could not help The Aquile when they lost 3-0 to AS Roma last weekend because he had to serve a suspension due to the accumulation of yellow cards.
