Tare: "I'm Proud To Have Done A Great Job In The Last Transfer Window, Which Was One Of The Best In Terms Of Sales. The Coach Knows We Can Only Sign One Player On The Last Day Of The Market."
Lazio's sporting director, Igli Tare, responded to protests by hundreds of supporters of the Italian capital team outside their training ground, Formello, related to transfer activities this January. Biancoceleste supporters voiced their disappointment a few days ago.
Igli Tare admits Lazio has communication problems but insists that the January market was one of the best at least in terms of player sales. Biancoceleste supporters protested after the director only signed one player, namely, Jovane Cabral on the last day of the January market. However, they released Vedat Muriqi, Denis Vavro, Gonzalo Escalante, and Jony on loan.
"I have been here for 15 years and faced a lot of protests," the former striker told DAZN before the Fiorentina-Lazio match.
"We had communication problems, but no problems in terms of valuing, I'm proud to have done a great job in the last transfer window, which was one of the best in terms of sales.
"I always try to be honest with the fans, I never lie, I think that's important. The coach knows we can only sign one player on the last day of the market. We brought in offensive players, which were needed after Muriqi's departure.
"We could have done a lot more, but we can always improve, the most important thing is to work for the good of the club and that's what we have been doing."
