[Serie A] Lazio Vs Napoli Prediction

Napoli will face a tough test to maintain a winning streak when they head to Rome to face Lazio.  This match will be played at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Partenopei are currently in third place on the Italian League provisional board.  They scooped 54 points, a point difference from Inter Milan and three points from AC Milan who are at the top.

Luciano Spalleti's team is targeting to steal the full three points, aka victory over Lazio, to beat the two Milan giants at the top of the standings.

Napoli arguably has the upper hand over their opponents Lazio.  The reason is, they recorded a victory over the Biancoceleste in the last two meetings between the two teams.

Following a 5-2 win over Lazio at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona last season, Napoli took the lead again with a 4-0 win in the two teams' meeting on 29 November 2021.

However, it should also be noted that Lazio also won their home match against Napoli with a convincing score of 2-0 when the two teams met on December 21, 2020.

Lazio, which is currently managed by former Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri, is in sixth place with 43 points.  However, they will have a strategy to prevent Napoli from reaching the top.

While the hosts, who were knocked out of the Europa League by Porto, are unbeaten in six domestic games, the visitors are without a win in four following a 4-2 loss to Barcelona.

Seeing these statistics, Napoli must be careful with Lazio's revival in the match later.  Just a little careless, their dream of being able to seize the top position could be shattered in the 27th week of the Italian League.
