Pedro: "We Have Played Well Here And It Is Not Easy To Play In A Difficult Atmosphere Against A Strong Team, I Think We Can Turn Things Around In Front Of Our Fans At The Olimpico."

Pedro Rodriguez regrets the way Lazio conceded two goals to hosts FC Porto but believes they can turn things around in the second leg of the play-off which will take place at the Stadio Olimpico next week.

Lazio must recognize the host's FC Porto 2-1 advantage in the first leg of the play-off round of 16 of the Europa League which took place on Thursday (17/02) evening local time in Portugal. The Biancoceleste took the lead through Mattia Zaccagni's corner but were punished by Toni Martinez's double.

"We played well in the first half, we could have had the ball for a long time and created chances, but Porto's equalizer was a big blow for us," Pedro said via Sky Sport Italia.

"Once again a cross from the right and we conceded the second goal, which made things even more difficult. The game is still open and anything can happen in the second leg."

Away goals no longer count in the aggregate, so a 2-1 result away from home is no longer considered as positive as it was last season. Sergio Conceicao's side is playing in the Europa League play-offs after being knocked out of the Champions League so it will be a tough game for Lazio.

Even more difficult after traveling without the presence of the mainstay striker, Ciro Immobile, who had a high fever.

"We have played well here and it is not easy to play in a difficult atmosphere against a strong team, we showed character tonight, had good possession of the ball and I think we can turn things around in front of our fans at the Olimpico," added the winger.

"We have to understand the coach's thinking at the moment, we just have to be better in front of goal and I think we can do it."
