Milinkovic-Savic: "We Do Our Job, I Think What Happens Between The Fans And The Club, The Fans Have No Problem With Us, They Support The Players"
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic explained Lazio had a very special strategy in the 3-0 win over Fiorentina in the Serie A match which took place on Saturday (05/02) evening local time at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Lazio picked up seven points in their last three Serie A matches and kept three clean sheets in a row. Milinkovic-Savic opened the scoring in his side's win over Fiorentina on Saturday night followed by Ciro Immobile's goal and Cristiano Biraghi's own goal. The victory brought Maurizio Sarri's team up to sixth place in the Serie A standings.
"It's an important win that helps us a lot because it's a tough place for us and Fiorentina are a very good team. We scored three goals and took home three important points," said the Serbian midfielder via Sky Sport Italia.
"We have prepared for this approach because we have seen them often start very strong games at home in the opening minutes. We controlled it well, they fell behind after the break and we increased the pressure."
"The result is positive because we kept another clean sheet which helped Thomas (Strakosha). Every player works hard to help the defense and you can see the difference."
Biancoceleste fans held a protest this week against president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Igli Tare and protested last January's transfer market which they said weakened the squad instead of strengthening theirs.
"We do our job, I think what happens between the fans and the club, the fans have no problem with us, they support the players, it's between the fans and the club."
