Lazzari Will Be Out For More Than 20 Days Because Of Injury
Lazio full-back Manuel Lazzari was the victim of his team's victory over Bologna in the match which took place on Saturday (12/02) at the Olimpico. The defender is feared to be out for several weeks due to the injury.
As reported by Italian media, LazioNews24 revealed that the 28-year-old full-back from Italy, Manuel Lazzari will undergo an MRI examination which is scheduled to take place on Monday (14/02) local time to find out how severe the injury is, but it is feared that he will be out for more than 20 days.
This was a bad time for Lazzari who finally started to show coach Maurizio Sarri his best performance at Lazio. The player is reported to have suffered an injury to his left thigh flexor, but there has been no detailed explanation about it.
The 28-year-old, who is contracted to the Biancoceleste until 2024, has made 29 appearances in all competitions so far in the 2021/22 season, playing 1386 minutes in total. In that period he scored two goals and contributed one assist. It took a long time to bring out the best in coach Maurizio Sarri.
The Aquile, who won 3-0 over Bologna in last Saturday's match, are now preparing to play their Europa League last 16 play-off match against Portugal's FC Porto which will take place on Thursday (17/02) evening local time. The full defender will certainly not be able to appear in the match, reducing the strength in his team's defense following the injury of Francesco Acerbi.
