[Serie A] Salernitana - Lazio = 0 - 3
Ciro Immobile scored two goals as Lazio beat hosts Salernitana 3-0 in the match week 22 of the Italian League at Arechi Stadium, Saturday local time.
Ciro Immobile even only needed ten minutes to score both goals in the match.
Immobile's first goal came after just seven minutes when he finished off Sergej Milinkovic-Savic's cross with a left-footed effort from the center of the box.
Three minutes later, Immobile hit Salernitana's goal again with a close-range flick using a pass from Pedro Rodriguez.
Immobile almost completed his hat-trick in the 36th minute, unfortunately, his header from Luis Alberto's free-kick ended up hitting the crossbar.
While Immobile's quest for a hat-trick never materialized, Manuel Lazzari extended Lazio's lead to 3-0 over Salernitana converting Felipe Anderson's through ball in the 66th minute.
Immobile kept trying to score his third and almost got it four minutes from time with a sharp header from Lazzari's cross, but this time goalkeeper Vid Belec was able to secure the goal.
Meanwhile, the hosts, who only had 26 percent possession throughout the match, struggled to create meaningful chances and had to accept a 0-3 defeat when the final whistle sounded.
Lazio's first win in the last three games took them up to sixth place in the standings with a collection of 35 points.
Meanwhile, Salernitana, who lost their fourth in the last five games, is still stuck at the bottom of the table with only 11 points, according to the Italian League's official website.
