[Official] Escalante Joins Alaves On Loan Until End Of Season

The Argentine midfielder arrives from Lazio, where he did not play.  He already played under José Luis Mendilibar at Eibar and showed excellent performance.

Deportivo Alavés and Lazio have reached an agreement whereby Gonzalo Escalante will play on loan for the Vitoria team until the end of this season. Escalante (Argentina, 03/27/1993) is a midfielder with great physique and experience, with extensive experience, since he has accumulated more than 150 games in the elite.  

In addition, he is an old acquaintance of José Luis Mendilibar, since he played under him at SD Eibar. Escalante now already landed in Vitoria-Gasteiz to reinforce alaves midfield until the end of the current season and help the Paseo de Cervantes club to achieve their goal.

Wednesday, he will meet his new teammates and will complete his first training session under Mendilibar at 11:00 am.  He still hasn't made it through his presentation but it could happen tomorrow.  

Escalante's negotiation already happened for a long time since he had no minutes with Sarri and, since November, the contacts were a reality.
