Lazio President Promises To Bring In New Players At The Last Second Of The Market

Lazio president, Claudio Lotito confirmed that his club plans to bring in several new players before the close of the January market on Monday (31/01).  So far, the Italian capital club has not brought in any new players.

Lazio president, Claudio Lotito gave a brief statement to Il Messaggero that he wanted his club to carry out player recruitment activities in the January market.

"Unfortunately in the last few days I have been busy but now I am ready to return to the pitch, I ask the fans to calm down because we are going to do something in this transfer market," he said.

The Biancoceleste have been linked with several players in recent weeks including Atalanta forward Aleksei Miranchuk and Hellas Verona defender Nicolo Casale.  But before they can buy players, they have to sell some players first.  The top candidates are Vedat Muriqi who will join the La Liga club Real Mallorca and Denis Vavro has left to join FC Copenhagen.

The Aquile have to work extra fast because the transfer market will officially close on Monday ( 31/01 ) night at 20.00 local time so their time is limited.  Maurizio Sarri's plans for the January market have been heavily impacted with the liquidity index completely preventing them from signing new players, which is the main reason they have worked so hard to sell Muriqi this month.  And reportedly the Kosovo international striker has arrived in Spain to complete his transfer to Mallorca.
