[Coppa Italia] Milan Will Face Lazio In The Quarter-finals

AC Milan will face Lazio in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals after winning over Genoa in the previous round.

The Rossoneri had to work hard to overcome the Grifone resistance at the San Siro as the match went into extra time.  The score did end at 3-1, but they once again failed to secure a place in the quarter-finals of the competition in 90 minutes of normal time.

Earlier this week, the Biancoceleste also secured a place in the quarter-finals thanks to a win in extra time against Udinese.  Ciro Immobile scored the only goal of the match in the 106th minute and ensured that the capital club would face Il Diavolo in the next round.

The match will be held on February 9.  It should also be noted that the duel will take place at the San Siro which will be a bonus for Stefano Pioli's men considering they will be playing in front of their fans, although the policy of the Italian government may be to reduce the number of spectators present.

Milan certainly hopes to beat Lazio and advance to the semifinal phase.  In their first meeting this season in Serie A, Theo Hernandez, and his friends managed to beat Maurizio Sarri's men to try to realize their dream of winning the Coppa Italia amid their struggle to win the Scudetto this season.
