Aliaj: "Basic Is A Player Of Extraordinary Quality. Napoli, Atalanta, And Milan Are After This Player."
Toma Basic's agent revealed that AC Milan had wanted to recruit his client before finally choosing to move to their Serie A rivals, Lazio.
Basic has slowly started to shift Luis Alberto's place from the Biancoceleste's starting XI by recording 14 games this season and 11 of them as a starter. However, the situation might have been different if last summer he had chosen to join the Rossoneri.
The Croatia international's agent, Adrian Aliaj, also revealed the situation that occurred in the last Mercato with his client at the Pundo Nuovo Sport Show considering his client had been linked with several different Serie A clubs.
"He is a player of extraordinary quality. Napoli, Atalanta, and Milan are after this player. He needs time, he has technique, he sees goals with his left foot," said Aliaj.
"He will have to adjust to Italian football, with Sarri who is a great coach everything will be easier. Lazio will not have much trouble, but will not go astray. I am sure it can be an important season, Italy is always our first choice."
The Rossoneri's interest in the 23-year-old midfielder came last summer when different reports suggested that Rade Krunic would move to Bundesliga club SC Freiburg for a fee of 8 million euros.
The issue was blown when SportskaCentrala wrote that Milan was indeed pursuing Basic. They even stated that the player would complete his transfer to the San Siro for a fee of 10 million euros, but in the end, he chose to join the Biancoceleste at the end of August.
