Acerbi Will Be Sidelined For At Least 1 Month Because Of His Injury

The fear of recent days has been confirmed, Francesco Acerbi will be forced to sit still for a long time. 

The instrumental tests to which the center was subjected, after the injury against Empoli, a second-degree muscle injury to the left thigh flexor.  The problem already caused before when Lazio visits Venezia and will force Francesco Acerbi to stay away from the fields for at least a month.

Acerbi, who has already missed the match lost against Inter at San Siro, will certainly miss the next three league games against Salernitana, Atalanta, and Fiorentina - as well as the first knockout rounds of the Coppa Italia against Udinese on 18 January.  His return could take place on 13 February against Bologna or for the Europa League match against Porto on 17 February. A hard stop for Lazio and for Sarri who will have to do without the central player for a whole month. 

Acerbi has made 18 appearances in Serie A this season, followed by 3 goals and an assist;  six appearances in the Europa League.  The defender born in 1988 is going through a difficult moment with the Biancoceleste supporters who publicly contested him after some statements.  

Acerbi's injury is just another wake-up call to the club from a defense already in crisis with all its staff and now even without its leader.
