[Serie A] Lazio - Udinese Prediction
Lazio just lost 4 goals without a reply against Napoli on Sunday (28/11). This is Biancoceleste's second bad result in the last 2 weeks so that they fall to 8th place in the Italian League standings with 21 points.
Maurizio Sarri's squad is currently 3 points behind Juventus and Fiorentina. To stop this small crisis, Lazio must-win from Udinese. If Biancoceleste's streak of bad trends continues, they could move into the mid-table.
However, the match against the Friuli camp will certainly not be easy. Moreover, in the last home match against Zebrette, 29 October 2020, the Biancoceleste lost 1-3.
From the quality of the team, Lazio is better than Udinese. This can be seen from the goals scored by both teams up to matchday 15. The Biancoceleste managed to reap a total of 25 goals, while the Zebrette only collected 16 goals.
Interestingly, the total goals of Ciro Immobile and his friends were not born from the high intensity of attacks in every match. Lazio fired no more than Udinese.
However, the attack built by Maurizio Sarri's squad was noted to be more effective. With a shot ratio of 11.2 per game, they can score an average of 1.8 goals. With that, the attack effectiveness rate obtained by the Biancoceleste was able to reach 15 percent.
On the other hand, Udinese has been less clinical when it comes to converting goal chances. Despite firing more shots with a ratio of 13 times per game, the Zebrette was only able to record a conversion value of half of Lazio's, which is 8 percent.
One of the attackers who makes Lazio's front line dangerous is Ciro Immobile. Almost half of Biancoceleste's total goals to date, cannot be separated from the contribution of the 31-year-old striker. So far, he has recorded 10 goals and 2 assists in the 2021 Italian League.
Besides Immobile, Lazio also still has other attackers who are no less sharp. They are Pedro (3 goals), Felipe Anderson (3 goals), and Milinkovic-Savic (3 goals).
Lazio's attack quality will be pitted against Udinese's. Luca Gotti as the coach will deploy the fruit of his tactics to get points in the match later. He can field his best players, such as Gerard Deulofeu (3 goals), Beto (4 goals), and Roberto Pereyra (2 goals).
Lazio (4-3-3): Pepe Reina; Manuel Lazzari, Patric, Francesco Acerbi, Elseid Hysaj; Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Danilo Cataldi, Luis Alberto; Felipe Anderson, Ciro Immobile, Pedro.
Prediction: 2 - 1
